What is hyperbaric oxygen therapy?
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a specialist oxygen therapy that works to support muscle recovery, cognitive function, immune system activity, and overall wellbeing. It’s suitable for most people, particularly those who are training and looking for accelerated recovery, as it saturates the body’s tissues with oxygen.
As with all Soho Health Club treatments on offer at Soho House, HBOT sessions are delivered by trained professionals, who remain on hand throughout the experience.
What is an HBOT chamber?
Our state-of-the-art HBOT chamber is a private, single-occupancy space designed for comfort and ease. Inside, guests can sit back and relax while breathing pure oxygen through a dedicated mask covering the nose and mouth.
What are the benefits of using an HBOT chamber?
HBOT therapy works by delivering concentrated oxygen to the bloodstream, increasing oxygen availability throughout the body. This enhanced oxygenation supports both physical and mental recovery.
Its benefits include faster muscle recovery and regeneration, reduced muscle fatigue and inflammation, and improved cognitive clarity and energy levels. Additional advantages include tissue repair, better circulation, and quicker overall recovery.
House tips
Before your HBOT session, we recommend wearing natural, non-synthetic clothing (cotton is ideal) and removing all metal jewellery and electronic devices. Mobile phones are not permitted within the chamber.
Throughout the treatment, our team of trained therapists will be available to monitor your session and provide support if needed.

What can I expect during an HBOT session?
A typical HBOT session lasts 60 minutes. You will enter a pressurised mono-place chamber and breathe pure oxygen in a calm, controlled environment. As you enjoy the treatment, you may notice mild ear pressure changes similar to those experienced on a flight. Otherwise, the experience is designed to be deeply relaxing – you can rest or simply switch off.
Where are HBOT chambers available?
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is available in London at 180 House and Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire. We are currently expanding this offering, with White City House and Soho House New York set to introduce HBOT to their menu of wellness treatments soon. Members and their guests can book sessions via the Soho House app.

Treatment stacking
While HBOT aims to deliver powerful benefits on its own, it is most effective when combined with complementary treatments. Pair it with red light therapy (PBM), contrast therapy and an IV infusion – available at select Soho Health Clubs – to create a comprehensive wellness approach that is designed to target cellular repair, recovery, and performance.
